This rugged upwind turbine is the result of 2 years real-life testing and development in the Uplands of Scotland. It has been designed with a unique Permanent Magnet Generator and a Hi-spec blade set to provide maximum off grid wind energy power supply. The high efficiency of the complete package means that it produces power even when there is little wind. When the wind reaches 12.5m/s, the generator can provide 1000W (1kW) of useful electrical power. This turbine is available in 12V, 24V, and 48V DC versions. The nominal power output is 1000 Watts (600 Watts for 12V version).
The FuturEnergy 1kW Wind Turbine can be wired straight into mains, or integrated into a Powerguard PS System. Integration would allow you to charge your battery bank, meaning your off grid generator does not have to run as often, and so will use less fuel.
